Erika's approach

Working from the inside out
I find that focusing on the autonomic nervous system is a truly transformative way to support people through tough times. The more I learn about its role in our wellbeing, the more I realise how important it is to help you get to know your own unique system and find tools for you to ground yourself.
I focus on working from the "inside out or bottom-up"—helping you understand your body’s natural responses and reactive patterns rather than just changing thought patterns. By getting to know your nervous system, you can build self-compassion and find grounding tools for when life feels overwhelming. My goal is to create a safe, genuine connection where you feel comfortable being vulnerable.

Gentle yet creating space for growth
I generally take a gentle and slow approach, which helps create the safety needed for our work together. However, I’m not afraid to ask the difficult questions when the time is right. I believe growth happens in that delicate balance between feeling secure and being thoughtfully challenged.
I am client-centred, meaning I don't work the same with everyone. Your unique needs and experiences will guide our sessions, ensuring a process that is helpful for you.

Supporting diverse challenges and individuals
My approach is particularly centred around trauma work, as I work with many clients who suffer from trauma symptoms after difficult or traumatising experiences. However, I also support neurodivergent individuals, like those with ADHD. For most clients, I incorporate specific nervous system interventions that are helpful.
Additionally, I have worked with people suffering from anxiety, grief, identity issues, relationship problems and many other presenting issues.
I welcome children, youth, and adults from all backgrounds, cultures, and belief systems, ensuring a supportive environment for everyone.
