Therapeutic services
Erika draws on various proven therapeutic approaches to create a personalised healing experience. By blending aspects of the methods listed below, she can address your unique needs and support your journey of growth.
Person-centred therapy
This approach focuses on you as an individual, providing a supportive and non-judgmental space for self-discovery and personal growth.
Acceptance and commitment therapy
Learn to accept what is out of your control and commit to actions that enrich your life, aligning with your values.
Polyvagal theory
Understand how your nervous system impacts your emotional responses and learn techniques for self-regulation and safety.
Cognitive behavioural therapy
Identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours to develop healthier coping strategies.
Narrative therapy
Explore and re-author your life story, empowering you to separate from problems and discover new possibilities.
Integrated mixture
I combine these approaches to create a comprehensive and flexible therapeutic experience tailored to your unique needs.
Specialized interventions
Beyond traditional therapies, Erika also offers specific interventions designed for focused healing, increased nervous system regulation, and the processing of trauma or difficult experiences.
The Safe Sound Protocol
The Safe Sound Protocol (SSP) is a non-invasive listening therapy designed to calm the nervous system and retune your social engagement system, improving emotional regulation, attention, and communication.
The Flash Technique
The Flash Technique is a gentle trauma-processing method designed to reduce the emotional intensity of distressing memories without requiring you to relive them in detail. It originated from EMDR, but I use it as a standalone tool for those who find traditional trauma therapy too overwhelming.
Brainspotting
Brainspotting is administered through a collaborative process between you and a therapist, primarily using fixed eye positions to access deep-seated trauma and emotional stress. Unlike talk therapy, it relies heavily on your body's natural physiological responses rather than extensive dialogue.
